It's been a little over 3 and a half years since the release of Battlefield 2042, arguably one of the least successful drops ever coming out of the Battlefield Franchise. With strong, critically acclaimed reviews about this game, it took over 2 years for the game to become the least bit of playable, which leaves fans wondering. Will Battlefield 6 have the same flop when it releases?
Multiplayer Reveal & Times
With rumors circulating the internet with talks of the game picking up right after the storyline of Battlefield 4, a massive, free-to-play battle royale game mode with instant elimination zones and highly destructible buildings, as well as the best multiplayer experience they have ever released, it's got fans, critics, and creators all at the edge of their seats! This might be one of the developers most ambitious project, and they're just getting started. And on July 31st 2025, you get to experience it all first hand what the Battlefield devs over at EA have been cooking up behind the scenes for the past 3+ years.
The broadcast will kick off live on the official Battlefield Twitch and YouTube this Thursday, July 31st, 2025 at these times:

EA hopes to captivate its audience with the unveiling of what they even said was their most ambition project to date. In a press release last week, they said this "This epic showcase will lift the curtain on Battlefield 6's much-anticipated multiplayer features and demonstrate why this is the most ambitious title in the series' history, with an explosive showcase of some of the jaw-dropping maps players will battle across, the suite of modes both new and returning, and much, much more." This has given fans hope of a FPS experience we have been missing for quite sometime. With that being said you can also catch your favorite first-person shooter creator streaming their experience after the showcase. Some of these creators include TimTheTatman, FaZe Swagg, and many more all sharing their personal first impressions in one of the most highly anticipated FPS titles in a long time.
Beta Information & Release Date
Beta access starts as soon as August 7th, with the closed beta kicking us off until the 8th. Starting back up on the 9th is when open beta access is granted until following day on the 10th. The second phase of the open beta will start August 14th and follow through the weekend until the 17th. Pre-orders for the game will go live during the multiplayer reveal event, to which you can pre-order the game for $69.99 USD which will grant you access to the early closed beta dates. At this time it is unclear if they will mention anything about the alleged free-to-play battle royale mode. Battlefield 6 is set to release on October 10th, 2025 for the Xbox Series S|X, Playstation 5, and PC.
